Egypt & Jordan Feb/March 2018 Itinerary
Tuesday, Feb. 27: Day 01: Arrival to CAIRO / EGYPT:
Arrive to Cairo International airport where you will be met by your tour manager who’ll assist you with your entry visa and formalities through Customs and Immigrations. Transfer to Mena House Hotel for overnight and dinner on your own.
Wednesday, Feb. 28: Day 02: Giza / Opening Circle / Sakkara / Dahshur / Mena House
After breakfast, we will do opening circle for the whole group at the Mena House.
We travel by luxury bus to Sakkara where we visit the most impressive of dozens of Old Kingdom Pyramids and tombs on the West Bank near Ancient Memphis, including the oldest pyramid, the Step Pyramid of Djoser, and its temple of sound and healing. About 2630 B.C. Imhotep, architect to King Djoser (Dynasty III), masterminded the Step Pyramid at Sakkara. The world’s oldest freestanding stone structure, this Pyramid consists of six tiers atop a mastaba, or low, oblong tomb, faced with cut stone. This magnificent site includes other Old Kingdom tombs, among them those that hold the earliest known hieroglyphs and The Pyramid Texts that were the model for the Egyptian Book of the Dead.
Lunch will be served at local restaurant.
We continue our visit today to Dahshur, which was closed for many, many years and just opened recently for visitors. Dahshur holds the Black, White & Red Pyramids on its territory.

Thursday, Mar. 1st: Day 03: Giza / Sphinx / Camel ride / Egyptian Museum / Khan El Khalili Bazaar / Mena House
Today we start our tour with a very special PRIVATE and EXCLUSIVE sunrise visit to the Great Sphinx. Listen to the incredible sounds of the entire city being called to prayer. After an opening meditation and a camel ride, we go back to the hotel for breakfast.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit the famous Egyptian museum with a collection of relics dating back to 4000 B.C., including the masterpieces of King Tut Ankh Amun and much more. In the evening, we will be visiting the exciting Khan El Khalili Bazaar – the oldest market in Egypt. Overnight at Mena House.
Dinner on your own. (Private visit to the Sphinx is subject to governmental approval)
Friday, Mar. 02nd : Day 04: Cairo / Aswan / Felucca / Private Dahabiya
After breakfast, we check out of the Mena House and transfer to Cairo Airport for flight to Aswan (approx. 1.5 hours) and take a bus ride to Aswan and check-in on our private luxurious and beautiful Dahabiya boat to sail the magical Nile. In the afternoon, we will take a Felucca (traditional wooden sailing boat) around the islands. You may wish to visit the Nubian colorful Market of Aswan. Overnight on Dahabiya.
Saturday, Mar. 03: Day 05: Aswan / Philae Temple / Kom Ombo / Dahabiya
This morning, we wake up very early, and take a short coach ride to the lakeshore and transfer to motorboat for the island of Philae Temple consecrated to Isis, Egypt’s Divine Mother. Privately and exclusively we will have a sunrise meditation and take ample time here to experience the healing energy of Isis and her lovely island complex. This isle represents a fusion of three great civilizations-Egyptian, Greek and Roman.

Breakfast on the Dahabiya and around 09:00 am we start our sail on the Nile to visit Kom Ombo the healing temple of Kom Ombo a glorious picturesque ruin along the banks of the Nile. This is the only dual temple in Egypt and was dedicated to two gods--Sobek, the Crocodile god of strength, fortitude, fertility and rebirth and Horus--the hawk-headed son of Isis and Osiris. The duality of light/dark, yin/yang and conscious/unconscious is apparent in this ancient site. One of the most powerful places in Kom Ombo is the Seat of Neutrality, which is placed on the exact center line between the parts of the temple that are dedicated to Horus/Sobek and Light/Dark. Overnight on Dahabiya.
Sunday, Mar. 04: Day 06: Kom Ombo / Edfu / Dahabiya
This morning we enjoy our breakfast as we sail all day along the Nile and watch the farmers and countryside of Egypt. We visit a village to experience local life. Overnight on the Dahabiya.
Monday, Mar. 05: Day 07: Edfu / Esna / Dahabiya
Visit Edfu the Temple of Horus, the Falcon God, the best-preserved temple of the ancient world. Horus is associated with higher vision and clarity. The Eye of Horus greatly relates to his myth and power. We sail to Esna. Overnight on Dahabiya.
Tuesday, Mar, 06: Day 08: Esna / Luxor / Karnak Temple / Dahabiya
In the morning we sail from Esna to Luxor. In the afternoon we visit the vast and magnificent Temple of Karnak, the biggest temple complex in Egypt. It is dedicated to the gods Amun and Mut. Outside the main halls, is a small chapel dedicated to Sekmet, her consort Ptah and their son Nefertum. Sekmet isthe lioness god of compassion and courage, feminine fire and healing through destruction. She is a renowned healer and known for her magic and ability to hunt down an imbalance at its origin. We will have a meditation with Sekmet and enjoy the shade under Hathor's sycamore tree, noted to be 2000 years old. Overnight on Dahabiya.
Wednesday, Mar. 07: Day 9 : Abydos / Dendarah / Sonesta Luxor hotel
After breakfast we say goodbye to our Dahabiya and take a 3 hour luxury bus drive through the countryside of Upper Egypt to visit Abydos the temple of the Osiris and the “Flower of Life”...one of the premier power places on planet Earth. Abydos is the pilgrimage place for Egypt’s visitors and no trip is complete without visiting Abydos. Next we visit Dendarah, Hathor's temple, dedicated to the Goddess of abundance, love, joy and music. This temple is built with a zodiacal ceiling that recalls the origins of Egypt. We check into the luxurious 5 star Sonesta Luxor Hotel for overnight.
Thursday, Mar. 08: Day 10: West Bank / Valley of Kings & Queens / Hatchepsut temple / Sonesta Luxor hotel
This morning, after breakfast, we take a bus ride to explore the West Bank of ancient Thebes. We visit the Valley of the Kings, with its Royal Tombs, included Tutmoses lll and we visit the Valley of the Queens. We also visit the mortuary Hatshepsut temple, on our way back we stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharoah Amenhotep III. Overnight at Sonesta Luxor Hotel.
Friday, Mar. 09: Day 11: Luxor / Luxor Temple / Cairo / Old Cairo / Four Seasons Giza
We visit the Temple of Luxor, R.A Schwaller de Lubcz developed his ‘symbolist’ interpretation of ancient Egypt, and called it the “Temple of Man” . Then we transfer to Luxor airport for flight to Cairo. Arrive Cairo. Upon arrival, we will visit the Old Cairo included St.Sergi church where the Holy family was hidden while they were in Egypt. Check into the 5 star Four Seasons Hotel in Giza. Dinner on your own.
Saturday, Mar. 10: Day 12: Giza / Pyramids / King's Chamber / Farewell Dinner / Four Seasons Giza
Today, we’ll be visiting the Giza Pyramids plateau and get to know more about the mystery of these Pyramids. Afterwards, we have a private and exclusive visit inside the King's Chamber in the GreatPyramid for a special ceremony where we have the opportunity to lay in a sarcophogus.
In the evening, we will have a beautiful farewell dinner to Egypt and say good-bye to our friends who are not continuing on with us to Jordan, Petra and the Dead Sea. Lunch is on your own. Overnight at Four Seasons.

Sunday, Mar. 11: Day 13: Cairo / Final Departure/Jordan
Check out of Four Seasons Hotel and transfer to Cairo Airport for either final departure home or Jordan Extension. Breakfast only.
Sunday March 11, Day 13, CAIRO - AMMAN – MADABA – MOUNT NEBO - PETRA
Cairo airport flight to Amman, the capital of Jordan, a modern city with numerous ancient ruins. Tour bus will take us to the Byzantine Church of Mt. Nebo, the spot where Moses is believed to have first seen the Promised Land more than 3000 years ago. and then proceed to Madaba where you will see a 6th century Mosaic Map of Palestine and continue to Petra for overnight at a luxury hotel.
Monday, March 12, Day 14, PETRA
After breakfast. we visit Petra, the "The Rose Red City". Supernatural power seems to seep out of the rose colored sandstone. Known as one of the new 7 Wonders of the World, the city comprises a complete urban infrastructure which includes temples, baths, private houses, high places, paved streets, public building, markets, theatres, reservoirs and cisterns. Its entrance, one-kilometer-long fissure through the towering cliffs, the "Siq", provides a dramatic approach and induction to the city. The narrow winding path through the canyon dramatically opens up to expose the awesome facade of the Khazneh, the "Treasury". Overnight at luxury hotel.
Tuesday, March 13, Day 15, LITTLE PETRA / DEAD SEA
Spend the day visiting Little Petra. Also called Beidha, its a major Neolithic archeological site north of Petra with buildings carved into the walls of sandstone canyons. It is part of the Petra Archeological Park and is less crowded than Petra. When we leave there we drive to the Dead Sea. Overnight at luxury hotel.
Wednesday, March 14, Day 16, DEAD SEA
Free day at the Dead Sea, a very salty lake located in Jordan Valley, down more than 400 meters below sea level. Its famously hyper saline water makes floating easy, experiencing an unforgettable swim...there is nothing like it... and its mineral-rich black mud is used for therapeutic and cosmetic treatments Overnight at luxury hotel.
Thursday, March 15, Day 17, DEAD SEA - Final Departure
Transfer to Queen Alia airport in Amman, Jordan for flight to Cairo. Arrive Cairo and transfer and check in to Le Meridian Cairo Airport Hotel. Farewell dinner. Overnight at hotel. Lunch on own.
Friday, March 16, Day 18, Final Departure
